Goodwill Primary School Student is 2015 Francophonie

Jeraine Joseph of the Goodwill Primary School is the 2015 Mademoiselle Francophonie. She was crowned from a field of six contestants on March 28 at the Arawak House of Culture.

Joseph, who represented Tunisia, also won the award for Best Talent and Best Francophone Wear. First runner up, Reniksia Caprice of the Convent Preparatory School, representing Burundi, won the award for Best Oral Presentation. Nicole Anselm of the Grand Fond Primary School, who represented Rwanda, emerged 2nd Runner up.

Kezzy Vigilante of the Castle Bruce Primary School, who represented Canada, won the award for Best French Fashion Wear and a Special Award for Innovation was presented to Souljah Wiggan of the Roseau Primary, who represented Morocco.

Saughnage Corriette of the St. Martin’s Primary School, who represented Egypt, will be recognised by the National Francophone Commission for her performance in the pageant.

The pageant, a yearly event organized by the Ministry of Education, formed part of a month of activities to commemorate Francophonie month observed in March.
